This paper presents a four-year study results on the agrobiological and technological characteristics of the Durif, Hindogni and Senzo cultivars under the conditions of the Nis vineyard subregion (Serbia, Yugoslavia). Climatic and soil conditions are favourable to grow the studied cultivars. Analyzing the phenological characteristics, it can be concluded that the shortest vegetation period was that of the Senzo cultivar (172 days). All three cultivars showed good fertility which ranged from 13.61 t/ha of Durif up to 18.55 t/ha of Senzo. The highest weight of the cluster of grapes was that of the Senzo cultivar (204.7 g), while the lowest was that of Durif (146.7 g). In spite of their good fertility, these the Hindogni cultivar the sugar content of which was 19.3%. For the purpose of increasing must sugar content, ampelographic measures should be taken with these cultivars.
