Analysis of the genome of Pseudorabies virus Ercegovac strain with restriction endonucleases

The genome of Pseudorabies virus Ercegovac vaccine strain was analysed by the restriction enzymes Bam HI, Kpn I and BgI II. The results of the autoradiograms show that the Ercegovac vaccine strain contains a genome that can be classified as a class 3 DNA molecule. The analysis with Bam HI enzyme shows the loss of the Bam HI cleavage site between fragments 8 and 8'. The genome of Ercegovac strain has a deletion in the Us region.
