[he relationship between pH and Zn up take soil fraction]

Karajani, M. (Universiteti Bujqesor, Tirane (Albania))
Determination of total soil Zn in 45 soils of Republic of Albania indicated that its amount ranged from 42,7 to 126,5mg/kg soil, while its amounts in the exchangeable+sorbed fraction were 0,8-4,43mg/kg soil, which consists of 1-5,2 percent of total zinc. The amounts of this fraction resulted to be related very closed with soil pH. Decreasing of the pH influences in increasing of this fraction. The influence of pH is especially correlated with clay content. In the clay soil, at a low pH, the zinc linked influence with clay gets free in the exchangeable+sorbed forms. Strong correlation between pH and exchangeable fraction are found in the soil of high organic matter content.
