Developed has been a thin-layer chromatographic method of determining residual amounts of clofentezin in plant stock. Chromatographs have been developed in systems of dissolvents, and clofentezin spots are detected without using chromogenous reagents due to intensive crimson-red colouring of the compound. 0.5 mg/spot are the minimum detectable amounts, and 0.2 mg/spot when uSing plates with fluorescent indicators and UV-light radiation. To semi-quantitatively determine the residual amounts, use is made of a standard curve of exactly determined amounts of clofentezin pure matter.
