The study shows a considerable variation of the values of the soil texture, humus, CEC, ect. in the Kremikovtzi region. For example, the clay contents vary within the range of 8,42 to 49,18%, humus-2,05 to 4,08%, CEC 8,2-18,5 to 35,5 meq/100 soil. A great impression makes the content of CaCO3 in the Kremikovtzi region. It is particularly high in soils close to the metallurgical plants. This is impotrant for the previous large scale surveys did not find carbonates in these soils. Among the studied soil samples only three have not CaCO3, but a variation from 0,15 to 1,08% is found in the other twenty samples. This determines the high degree of base saturation (75,2-100%) and the slightly acid to neutral and slightly alkaline soil reaction. The finding the carbonates in the soils due probably to emission of Kremikovtzi plants. The change of soils raises questions of soil classification, plant nutrition, use and assessment of land, environmental pollution ect.
