[Technological evaluation of apple cultivar branching-out]

Branching habit of grown-up apple trees of seven cultivars were studied. By means of morphological analysis the number and distribution of 10 types of elementary fruit twigs of different age and 3 kinds of elongated perennial overgrowing branches were found. Four groups of cultivars depending on total branching were screened. The analysis of the ratio of elementary fruit twig types on the axis of the skeleton bough and on elongated overgrowing branches was presented. The data on specific number of fruit twigs of different types on the bough section of different age are given
