The parallel evaluation of the bulls of the Dutch Holstein breed, carried out both in the Netherlands and Estonia, proved that the results differed only in a few bulls. The genetic value of the Estonian Holstein cows was somewhat lower in the milk and protein yield compared with Dutch Holsteins. The breeding value of the American Holstein bulls was lower than that of the Dutch Holsteins
