Strategy of improvement of pasturing
1999
Stefler, J.
One of the most important parts of the agricultural strategy is to improve pasturing. This intent is also supported by ecological, economical and rural development aspects. It is deeply analysed which species could be involved, in what size and termination. It is concluded that sheepbreeding has to be in focus, followed by beef cattle production, but the role of other (so-called alternative) species is also remarkable. The utilization of grasslands can grow from the present 55% to 80%, as the result of improvement.
