Testing new Hungarian and some foreign protein evaluation systems on growing-finishing bulls

Results of feeding trials involved 29 experimental groups (n=12-24) were used to test the systems. The original aim of the trials was to study the effect of protein supply and its ruminal degradability on performance. Crude protein levels and protein degradability values were between 9.7-15-7% in dry matter and 52-83%, respectively. Mean liveweight and daily gain varied between 254-389 kg and from 1066 to 1549 g/day, respectively.
