Apple pomace in sheep-feeding. Concentrate replacement by apple pomace silage in the feeding of ewes and lambs

The aim of the experiments on the feeding ewes and lambs was to replace concentrate with apple pomace silages. Then suckling ewes were fed with 1.5 kg concentrate, 0.5 kg grasshay and 0.5 kg wheat straw, supplemented with 0.4 kg corn in the control group, and 3 kg apple pomace silage made with 10% straw in the experimental group. The lambs were fed with the concentrate ad libitum. It was supplemented with 0.07 kg corn in the control group and 0.5 kg apple pomace silage made with 10% straw in the experimental groups. The author considered that a part of the concentrate could be replaced with apple pomace silages in the feeding of ewes and lambs.
