The chemical characteristic of cottonseed after cleared by bleaching earth

An experiment about processing method of cottonseed oil has been conducted at Post Harvest Laboratory of Research Institute for Tobacco and Fibres Crops. The treatments were using bleaching earth of 0.00 percent, 2.5 percent, 5.0 percent, 7.5 percent, 10.0 percent, 12.5 percent, and 15.0 percent to bleach cottonseed oil extracted by n-Hexane, arranged in Completely Randomized Design with three replications. The results showed that bleaching earth of 10.0 percent could decrease free fatty acid content, gossypol content, and acid value of the soil. Using bleaching earth did'n affect on fatty acid composition
