[Yield potential of sorghum lines]

Fifteen lines/varieties of sorghum included Mandau as control treatments were evaluated at Lanrang (South Sulawesi) during dry season of 1996. The treatment was arranged in randomized complete block design with three replications. GJ38 line was produced highest yield (5.87 t/ha). While, IS 3552, IS 23509, ICSV 233, and ICSV-LM 90502 were produced 5.14 t/ha, 4.99 t/ha, 4.61 t/ha and 4.32 t/ha respectively. Rio line has the highest sucrose content which was 15.7 percent and followed by IS 21129 (12.3 percent), IS 10454 (12.3 percent) and IS 15455 (11.3 percent) in that order
