[Adaptation test of several rice varieties on intertidal land in Sejangkung Subdistrict, Sambas Regency (Indonesia)]

Technology assessment on rice varieties production potency was carried out in Setalik Village, Sejangkung, Sambas District, from May to October 1998. This area is a swampy area categorized into C type. The main objectives is to determine appropriate rice varieties to be developed in this area. It used a Randomized Completely Block Design using 12 rice varieties as treatments and 3 replications. These varieties were Cisokan, Way Seputih, Cibodas, Cisanggarung, IR 42, IR 64, Batang Anai, Maros, Musi, Memberamo, Sei Lilin and Citara. This assessment used a fertilizer rates of 200 kg of urea, 125 kg SP36 and 100 kg of KCl per hectare. The results showed that Cibodas provided the highest productivity of 3.00 ton/hectare that is significantly different to Cisokan (2,4 ton/ha), Way Seputih (2,53 ton/ha), Cirata 92,54 ton/ha) but not significantly different to Cisanggarung (2,97 ton/ha), Batang Anai (2,96 ton/ha), IR 64 (2,92 ton/ha), IR 42 (2,91 ton/ha), Musi (2,90 ton/ha), Memberamo (2,87 ton/ha) and Sei Lilin (2,86 ton/ha). Farming analysis showed that Cibodas rice variety with a productivity of 3.00 ton/hectare needed a total input production of Rp.890.000 and provided a total revenue of Rp 1.800.000, a net profit of Rp 909.750 and B/C ratio of 1.02 with a selling price of Rp 600/kg
