[Technology of dwarf pepper cultivation among coconut planting in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan (Indonesia)]

The objective of technology assessment on planting pattern of pepper among coconut trees is to determine the effects of planting pattern and NPK fertilizer application on pepper growth in Sambas, West Kalimantan. It used split plot design where two planting patterns as the main plot, four NPK fertilizer application as sub plot, and three replications. Total land used in this assessment was 2 hectares with plot dimension was 8 x 8 meter each. The first planting pattern is coconut as the main crop and pepper as the inter-cropping crops. The second planting pattern is coconut as the main crop and pepper and pineapples as the inter-cropping crops. Four level of NPK fertilizer application are 480, 720, 960, and 1.200 gram NPK 12. 12. 17.2/plant. Assessment results showed that planting pattern and fertilizer application did not significantly affect to plant height, the number of primary branches, and the number of secondary branches
