Description on original habitat of Javan rhino is difficult to obtain in the literatures. Most older author noted its occurrence in "forest" without further detail explanations. Its distribution coincides in fact with that of evergreen forest in areas with high annual rainfall and some rainfall in all months. At present, the most viable population of Javan rhino can only be found in Ujung Kulon National Park, West Java, Indonesia. Another small population of the rhino can be found in Vietnam. Studies on Javan rhino habitat have been carried out by many researchers, although some are not deal specifically with habitat. This study is aimed to describe vegetation structure and heterogenity in the Javan rhino habitat, including species composition and diversity, classify the vegetation in Ujung Kulon National Park and analyse the effect of Langkap (Arenga obtusifolia) cutting to the vegetation structure. The study revealed that the vegetation in the Javan rhino habitat consist of some different association with high variability of structure and species composition. The vegetation in the Javan rhino habitats is classified into 6 associations of which Arenga obtusifolia association has considerable high variability. Arenga obtusifolia is found in some different domination stages and indicate an invasion trend throughout Ujung Kulon Peninsula. This study also found that Arenga obtusifolia cutting with 50 percent and 100 percent intensity has beneficial effects to the Javan rhino because of increasing food plant availability. This can be considered as one tool in managing the Javan rhino in Ujung Kulon National Park
