[Study on sloting efficiency of heavy soils]

In 1997-1999 the study had been carried out to examine effect of deep ploughing, sloting, etc. on increase of pipe drainage performing efficiency. It was established that a possitive effect was achieved only in sod-podzolic gleyic soils : due to the measures introduced the discharge of water surplus had been increased by 19-30. It was observed an improvement of ground water and soil moisture regime as well as high correlation rate between drainage rate of the run-off and ground water table in the soils mentioned. As a matter of fact, labour cost increased by several times due to the agro-land reclamation measures applied
