2000
Zarina, L. (State Priekuli Plant Breeding Station, Priekuli, Cesu reg. (Latvia))
During 1958 to 1998 investigations on the influence of black fallow on soil properties were carried out. It was found that black fallow influenced the soil properties negatively: in crop rotations with black fallow included, decreased the content of soil organic matter. In crop rotation black fallow-rye after the period of 35 years the content of available phosphorus was lower than in other crop rotations under the same fertilisation system.
