2000
Adamovics, A. (Latvia Univ. of Agriculture, Jelgava (Latvia). Faculty of Agriculture. Dept. of Plant Production)
In long-term field trials (1987-1998) the productivity and longevity of Eastern galega grass swards grown in binary seed and multiple-component mixtures were studied on Stagnic Luvisol (FAO, 1988) and Gleyic Podzol (FAO, 1988) of Latvia. The swards were composed of Eastern galega "Gale" (Galega orientalis Lam.) and thirteen different grass species. Swards were cut two to five times in the growing season. The obtained results showed that mixed Eastern galega-grass fields had high dry matter (DM) yields (8.49-13.68 t haE-1).
