[Integration of dairy produce enterprises into the EU market]

The problems of the dairy industry in Latvia are discussed in connection with its integration into the EU market. The export possibilities of dairy products and the protection of the domestic market are analysed. The necessity to improve the quality of milk and its processing technologies is emphasized. The activities of the EU Common Market Milk and Dairy Products Organization are explained. The measures to be taken for the improvent of milk and dairy products quality are defined.
