Relationship between weed infestation and yield in winter wheat sowings
2000
Vanaga, I. (Latvian State Centre of Plant Protection, Riga (Latvia))
The relationship between dicotyledonous weeds and grain yield in winter wheat sowings were investigated in the soddy podzolic loamy sand soils in Riga district from 1997 to 1999. The trials were carried out following the full plant protection programme. Influence of weeds to grain yield of winter wheat was higher in plots with herbicides than untreated and average increase of grain yield was 0.54 t ha*[-1), but significance of difference could not prove statistically. Harmful influence of weeds to the grain yield increased in the herbicide background by calculating of linear regression coefficient. Compactiveness of linear relationship and value of byx was higher and mathematical credible between fresh weight of weeds and grain yield than value between number of weeds and grain yield.
