Influence of Azospirillum inoculation and nitrogen fertilization on the growth and yield of two varieties of corn (Zea maize, Linn.)
1998
Viado, P.R.
Results of the study revealed the following: 1. Significant differences on the effect of inoculation on the two varieties of corn were observed on the agronomic characters like number and diameter of ears, weight of 1000 seeds and yield per hectare wherein inoculated corn showed better performance than the uninoculated plants. Likewise, there are significant differences on the effect of nitrogen fertilization on the two corn varieties. Corn with higher level of N were significantly better compared to plants with lower N applied and, 2. Significant difference on the yield of inoculated and uninoculated corn was observed. Inoculated corn had significantly higher yield
