Basic physical and rheological features of bottom sediment were studied in fish ponds located in various geographical regions of Poland: in Barycz river catchment and in four sites of Carpathian region area. Comparison of rheological characteristics and physical features enabled to state that the rheological features depended mainly on the content of organic particles and granulation of the sediment
