Comparison of the contents of nitrates, nitrites, lead, cadmium and vitamin C in potatoes from conventional and ecological farms

The content of dry matter was statistically significantly higher in ecological potatoes (ECO). The content of nitrates and Cd in ECO tubers was significantly lower than in conventional tubers (CONV). The content of Pb in both types of potatoes was similar. The content of NaNO2 was higher in CONV potatoes, but the difference between CONV and ECO tubers was statistically insignificant.
