The present paper reports the biochemical characterization namely the caloric content and aminoacid and fatty acid profiles of recently hatched nauplii of three bisexual Artemia sp. populations from Sado Estuary salines. This is a continuation of a previous study on these Artemia populations collected in the same area where their biometry and hatching characteristics three Artemia populations studied. According to the essential fatty acid analysis, the three strains are suitable for use as a feed for marine organisms, due to the high content of 20:5w3 which was particularly high in the Soeiros population
