[Aspects of morphology and bioecology of Pea Bruchild (Bruchus Pisorum L.)]
1998
Brudea, V. | Mateiasi, M., C. (Institutul de Cercetari pentru Cereale si Plante Tehnice, Fundulea (Romania))
This report describes male and female genitalia of B. pisorum. The ovary can contain 17 ovarioles. High temperatures in spring lead to early apparition of the overwintering adults, egg-laying occurring in the latter half of June. High temperature and low air humidity caused eggs drying. Part of larvae do not reach maturity, due to parasitization by the Braconid Triaspis thoracicus Kurt.
