Spatial and structural aspects of agricultural landscape

Agricultural landscape is a complicated spatial complex which is result of long term specific interaction: man (human society) - natural part of a landscape. Agricultural landscape is intensively used natural landscape, modified by human activity. Its original natural ecosystems are modified and replaced by artificial agroecosystems. It is in non-balanced state, therefore, in order to keep its productivity it requires continuous energetic support in the form of various inputs. Very important part of agricultural landscape is georelief. With its shape through a set of morphometric parameters it affects processes in agricultural landscape, technology and way of soil cultivation, as well as other fields of agricultural activity. It influences spatial differentiation of surface water discharge, it shares spatial differentiation of hydrothermic soil regime, as well as spatial differentiation of geoecological processes in agricultural landscape. It influences also spatial differentiation of erosive - denudation and transport processes including dynamics of soil erosion. The geometry forms particular catchments in a landscape which together with a system of water courses form river network. Geometry of each catchment significantly influences its discharge regime. Therefore we present similar character of set of morphometric parameters and their influence on processes in the catchment of agricultural landscape as a spatial organized system
