Influence of irrigation on the production and quality of table grapes

The influence of drop irrigation on the production and economic indices in six table varieties of large fruit grapes had been investigated in a three years essay. An increase of production by 58 - 68% was achieved by irrigation. Irrigation introduced prolongation of ripening time by 8 - 10 days as well as a decrease of sugar production and an increase of acid content. The size of profitability could be increased by 19,5 - 48% by irrigation according to the humidity deficit of the vintage
