During 1986-1990 in field experiments the relationships among some physicals and chemicals parameters of 99 flue-cured tobacco varieties studied. When using the decomposition of multiple determination coefficient and simply correlative coeficients we have quantified direct and indirect influences of reducing sugar, lamina weight and hygroskopicity to ash content. By determination of simple linear regression equation Y = 20,8922 - 0,3302X the prediction value reducing sugar (indenpendent variable) to ash (dependent variable) has been defined. The reducing sugars accounted for 64,5% of the total variability for content of ash. The non-significant association of lamina weight with hygroskopicity and lamina weight with reducing sugar have been ascertained. Degree of association between reducing sugar and hygroskopicity were not indicative of casual affect
