The content and forms of chromium in soils
1999
Lahucky, L. (Slovenska Polnohospodarska Univ., Nitra (Slovak Republic))
The content of Cr was determined after mineralisation of soils by the AAS method. The Cr content in soils by the same method after its extraction with 2M HNO3, 0.05 M EDTA and 0.01 M CaCl2 was determined. The total Cr content in soils were 18.90 - 74.00 mg/kg. The mobile Cr forms, determined in 2M HNO3 extract in soil were 3.2-9.1% in 0.05M EDTA extract 0.1-2.7% in 0.01M CaCl2 extract 0.0-0.2% of the total Cr content. Chromium compounds were significantly bound in tested soils, that created conditions for relatively lower Cr transfer to plants
