Yield and sugar content of 18 lines of seedless watermelon

Comparison on yield and sugar content of 18 lines of seedless watermelon(4n) was done at Rajamangala Institute of Technology, Nan Campus during June 1-September 30 1995. Ten of each line were growen along the line CWM no.3 which was normal watermelon(2n) and used as the source of pollination. The results showed that the highest and lowest fruit weight were line 316, and line 306, which had fruit weight of 2.6 and 0.6 kg/fruit, respectively. Whereas, the highest and lowest sugar content were found in line 318 and line 303 which were 12.4 and 8.0 percent Brix, respectively. However the seed number per fruit was 0-6 seed.
