Wat Phai Lom and Wat Umpuwararam Non-hunting Area is the nesting site for Open-billed Stork during October and June. Up to now, the habitat can not provide the requirement of the birds perfectly. The tree composition in the area has been changed. The most successful species in the area is Strebus asper. It has the maximum density at 172.5 tr/ha., the frequency is more than 50 percent, the dominance and the important value index are 3.318 square m/ha and 96.796, respectively. Moreover, the efficiency of the area that can provide the requirement of the for tree, sapling and seedling age classes are 91,762.2; 132,988.7 and 1,287,330 birds, respectively. According to the manure of birds, it compose of 11.8 percent Nitrogen, 0.9 percent Phosphorus, 0.6 percent Potassium, 10.5 percent Calcium and 2.2 percent Magnesium. So, it can be used as an organic fertilizers to improve the soil characteristics.
