In this the early stage diagnosis of experimental coenurosis in sheep was investigated. The study was conducted in 3-4 months old 10 Akkaraman lambs and 2.5-3 months old 3 dogs. First of all, Taenia multiceps was developed in 3 dogs by giving them the protoscoleces of Coenurus cerebralis orally. Then, the lambs were infected by giving them the eggs of Taenia multiceps that were collected from these dogs. Each lamb was given on an avarage of 5500 Taenia multicep eggs orally. Serum samples were obtained with an interval of a week from all the sheep until the symptom for chronic coenurosis were observed. The seropositivity was observed beginning from the 35th day of the infection in the serum specimens that were tested by the indirect ELISA method
