Decomposition of an insecticide of formothion (Anthio 33) was observed and preharvest interval was determined. After tobacco was treated with 150 ml/da of Anthio 33, analyses were carried out on the samples which were taken 28, 21, 14, 7, 2 and 0 day after treatment. As a result of these analyses, omethoate, the metabolite of formothion, residues were found under detection level (0,05) on all days. Formothion and dimethoate residues were found under detection level 28 days after treatment. Degradation equations were found to be log y
