Purification and seed production of soybean and mungbean cultivars

In order to produce high quality seed of soybean and mungbean for farmer. This research are conducted to purified and improved the seed quality for the commercial purpose. The recommended varieties of soybeans Chiang Mai 60 and KUSL 20004, and two varieties of mungbeans, Kamphaeng-Saen 1 (KPS 1) and Kamphaeng-Saen 2 (KPS 2) are emploted. The research work are conducted within 4 seasons. The first season, soybean and mungbean are planted in the large plot size, then each typical plant aspect will be selected. The selected plants will be grown in plant per row in the second season and selected rows will be harvested and combined these seed as pedigree seed. The third season, the pedigree seed from the second season are used to produced breeder seed. In the fourth season, the foundation seed will be produced from breeder seed for National Corn and Sorghum Research Center to increase certified seed for farmer. According to this research project, the breeder seed of soybeans, Chiang Mai 60 and KUSL 20004 and mungbeans, KPS 1 and KPS 2 are produced about 220, 200, 130 and 110 kilograms, respectively.
