This study was conducted in order to determine the effects of sowing density and fertilization on yield, yield components and quality of chickpea on the experimental site in Pasinler of Eastern Anatolia Research Institute in 1991 and 1992. Average emergence time was 22.9 days and flowering times were 36.8 days. The number of leaves per plant was 83.5 in Aziziye-94, 82.1 in FLIP 84-144C and 88.1 in Erzincan local type with an average of 85.7. Average leaf length was 5.4 cm, leaf area per plant was 520.1 cm2, branch number per plant was 3.8, flower number per plant was 45.5, plant height was 31.1 cm, first pod height was 16.9 cm, pod number per plant was 17.5, maturity time was 122.8 days, harvest index was 0.43 and 100 seed weight was 48.8 g
