Effect of plant spacings, mulching and rates of fertilizer on yield and yield components of mungbean when grown after rice under no tillage and conventional tillage

Two separated experiments on mungbean grown under no tillage and conventional tillage combined with plant spacings, mulching, and rates of fertilizer were conducted in a newly harvested rice field Ban Pong District, Ratchaburi Province. The best yield of mungbean was obtained from no tillage experiment with rice straw mulching and 30-30-30 kg/ha of mixed fertilizer. Plant spacings either 50*10 cm or 25*20 cm with one plant per hill did not cause any difference in yield. The only characteristic of yield components that caused the difference in yield was number of pods plant.
