Traditional structure of the "fodder production - use " system has been formed under conditions of sufficient provision with relatively inexpensive energy resources, fertilizers, pesticides, technical devices etc. Nowadays a deficiency and high prices for the means of agricultural production require not only critical analysis, but also finding the reserves for providing a competitive system. The necessity of finding the ways for saving energy, new alternative technologies for producing increased amount of various fodders, and for reducing energy consumption is stated.
