Influence of cultivar and agroecological conditions on yield and technological quality of sugar beet. [A short version of doctoral dissertation]

The influence of cultivars and agroecological conditions on yield and technological quality of sugar beet as well as on its stability was investigated. The highest root yield was found in cv. Altima (52.55 t/ha) and the lowest in Al komona (49.09 t/ha). However, the highest sugar content was established in cv. Al lomona (17.08%) and the lowest in Monofort (16.36%). Regarding crystal sugar yield, the highest values were determined in cv. Altima (7.22 t/ha) and the lowest in cv. KW duca (6.70 t/ha). The most stable cultivars, concerning crystal sugar yield, were Al harmona, Al Ramona and Al omona, and the most unstable KW perla and Al trimona.
