The Senn pests population is under the critical level [Yugoslavia]

Number of the Senn pest species of the genus Eurygaster and Aelia in autumn of the year 1999 on their overwintering sites was in stagnation measuring 12.6 overwintering imagoes per square meter. The most numerous species was Eurygaster maura with 42.9% followed by the species Eurygaster austriaca (33.3%) and Aelia spp. (23.8%). This is the first time that species Eurygaster maura is more dominant than Eurygaster austriaca, and Aelia species with so high ration in the Senn pests' population. Concerning the sexual index, the numbers of Eurygaster austriaca and Eurygaster maura females were slightly higher than males. Natural imagoes mortalities of all the species in Fruska Gora mountain and Deliblato sand (Serbia, Yugoslavia) were 3.3 and 2.8% respectively.
