Influence of plant nutrition, nitrogen fertilizing and inoculation to the yield and quality od soybean was explored in the south Banat region, Serbia (Yugoslavia), in the two-year period (1990-1991). Seed yield, as well as the protein and oil content, depends on ecological influence in the first place, especially on humidity, but significantly varies on plant nutrition too. Lower seed yield was achieved in fertilizing combinations with lower nitrogen content (0-60 kg/ha) than with seed inoculation option. However, fertilizing with 90-120 kg/ha of nitrogen made greater effect on soybean yield than the seed inoculation option. Significant difference in oil and protein content in soybean was not achieved with nitrogen fertilizing combinations compared to seed inoculation.
