Liska, M. | Streit, J. (Povodi Vltavy, Prague (Czech Republic). Vodohospodarska Lab.) | Kozeluh, M. | Kule, L.
The fish (Leuciscus cephalus, Abramis brama and Esox lucius) were caught on the 9 sampling points in the rivers and in two reservoirs in 1999. The heavy metals (Cd, Pb, As and Hg), PCB and pesticides were analysed in muscle tissue and in the liver tissue. The highest concentration of mercury was found on the sampling points: Rimov - reservoir, Vltava Zelcin and Labe Decin. The highest concentrations of organic pollutants (p,p' DDE) were established in the South Moravia at the locality Dyje - Pohansko. The ratio of cadmium, PCB and OCP content between muscle and liver is approximately 1:5, on the contrary, about 80 % of mercury is in muscle tissue.
