The green fodder samples of the whole maize plants collected for four years were used in the research. Dry matter, crude fibre, NDF and ADF were determined according to the laboratory method and NIRS method by means of the Infra Lyzer 450. The content of dry matter was diversified and ranged between 23.15 (second year of the research) to 28.54 % (first year of the research). The differences in the crude fibre level were noticed (21.88 - 26.42 %), NDF (46.01 - 54.60 %) and ADF (24.98 - 29.55 %). The statistics of the calibration were for the dry matter: r=0.85, SEC=0.53; for the crude fibre: r=0.87, SEC=1.91; for NDF: r=0.89, SEC=1.22; for ADF: r=0.91, SEC=1.83. The obtained conformity between the laboratory results and NIRS results was good.
