The article deals with agricultural insurance in developed states of the European Union, USA and in CR. It characterises tasks of single government role in agricultural insurance. It is evident, that state's role in southern states of the European Union (Spain, Italy) is more significant than in northern states of the European Union (the Federal Republic of Germany).
