Effect of different soil tillage on water content of the soil by winter rape

The water content of the soil by different laying out of the plant cover of winter rape was examined an field trial in sugar-beet growing area, on brown soil on loess in Research Institute for Fodder Crops Ltd. Troubsko u Brna. The experiment was established in 1996. The present results reflect that water content of the soil as by soil tillage and as by amount of rainfall during vegetation was influenced. Lower rainfall make for decrease of soil water on ploughing variant and for increase on variant with direct drilling (no/till), because of preferable water retain.
