Doubled haploids (DH) of spring rape were obtained utilizing isolated microspore culture. Doubled haploids generated from microspores of F sub(1) hybrid plants exhibit a recombination of the parental genotypes in a gametic array ranging in a normal distribution. In this study morphometric and qualitative traits have been compared among DH lines, their donor plants and parent ones. The results of morphometric and qualitative comparison showed that all DH lines of group 268 produced more productive branches of the 1st row than the donor plants, DH 711-05 in particular. The productivity of the DH lines seeds was equal to donor plants, except DH 711-08. Valuable seed quality combinations of oil over 40 per cent together with a TSW about 4 g were identified in 3 DH lines: 711-03, 711-06 and 711-16. Fatty acids content in our DH seed samples in the 268 and 269 groups varied in both directions from their respective F sub(1) and parent lines
