The Fututre of Georgian Tea

Data regarding the volume of green tea leaf production and its processing by the end of 80`s have been given in the article. Reasons for radical reduction in manufacturing of ready prodact and its export volume in the subsquent years have been outlined. The factors contributing to that last, year break down of the production of green tea leaf was stopped and a certain demand on the Georgian tea was set, have been characterised. A partcular attention was paid to carrying out economic reforms in the branch: privatizationof tea factories, tea plantations, implementing of institutional reorganization, development of the process of production restructuring.
