Important zoonoses in Hungary caused by parasitic helminths living in animals

The aetiology, epidemiology, diagnosis (including immunodiagnosis) and treatment of helminthozoonoses in Hungary are summarized: fasciolis, schistosomosis, taeniosis, cysticercosis, cystic and alveolar echinococcosis, strongyloidosis, ascariosis, toxocariosis and trichinellosis. Attention is drawn to the insufficiently wide range of anthelmintics available in Hungary.
