Foodstuffs are generally classified to their plant, animal etc. origin as well as based on the operations of processing technologies. However, foodstuffs made of row materials with various origin can be hardly integrated into this system. In other special fields the classification is arranged under different regulations. But these classification systems sometimes neglect the essential definition of the food concept or they are conflicting them.
