The heavy metal (cadmium, chromium, copper, nickel, lead and zinc), sodium and sulphur contamination of roadside topsoils and the accumulation of these elements in cichory (Cichorium intybus L.) as indicator plant was studied at different sites in Nyiregyhaza (Hungary) between 1994 and 1996.
