1999

The research was carried out to know about the chilli planting-spaces and cropping system of peanut correctly in intercropping system. The research was conducted in the sandy coastal land from January to April 1998. The experiment was arranged in Factorial Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. First factor was the chilli planting-spaces with three levels, namely 30 x 40 cm2 (JI), 40 x 40 cm2 and 40 x 50 cm2. The second factor was cropping system of peanut with four levels, namely no row of peanut between chilli (P0), one row of peanut between chilli planting (P1), two rows of peanut between chilli row (P2) and two rows of peanut between chilli in row (P3). The result showed that there was an interaction between chilli planting spaces and cropping system of peanut on root length of peanut. The chilli space and cropping system of peanut were not significantly influenced to the growth and yield of chilli, but they were significantly influenced to peanut yield. Chilli space 30 x 40 cm2 (J1), cropping system two rows of peanut between chilli row (P2) and two rows of peanut between chilli in row (P3) gave the highest dry pod yield
